Reflection is what makes us grow, or rather the actions or behaviour changes that comes after a reflection is what makes us grow. Incorporate regular reflection sessions to your routines, whether it is for project evaluations, team growth, company visions, or even as a couple. Here are some guiding questions to get you started.

Questions to support reflection

  • What behaviors helped or hindered the group to____?

  • Did I hold back from doing things/Why?

  • How can I act  to get more out of the team?

  • How can I apply what I learned in other situations?

  • What happened during the experience?

  • What has been my highest high and lowest low in this project? Why?

  • How did I feel and what were my reactions?

  • What insights and conclusions can I draw from the experience?

  • What behavior changes and actions can I implement based on what I’ve learned?

  • Have I learned something about myself?

  • What am I going to do differently next time?

These are just a few examples. I recommend that you build up your own pool of support questions that suits your context. If you want help to design and implement a regular reflection routine to your team or project, I’m happy to help you out or facilitate your process on a regular basis.
